Three Fun Finds for Autumn

Share This:

Things I’m Loving Right Now

Time to turn the heating up, get your boots back on, and have a rummage for your favourite sweater. Plus, whether you love them or loathe them (it’s a no from me, I’m afraid), pumpkin spice lattes are back and that means that autumn is officially underway.

If you’ve spent the recent lovely weather tidying up the garden for autumn, then it’s time to come inside and commence the hunkering down. With that in mind, here are some things to help you autumn up your life.

AN ACTUAL PUMPKIN LIGHT

Not sure if you can really get more autumnal than a twinkly light-up pumpkin. And I don’t mean the orange plastic kind with a handle and a face that my kids take trick-or-treating – nope, this glass one is not for the kids. With a crackled glaze surface and an LED bulb, which means the batteries will last ages, this is possibly the perfect autumn home buy. Stick it in your kitchen, living room, bedroom or literally anywhere and it will look good. Or buy several and start a patch. You really can’t go wrong.

A SUPER SOFT OVER-SIZED WRAP

Wrap scarf in grey and blue
Zelly Lyla Wrap from ZellyBoutique

I love Zelly scarves and have bought a few over recent winters. You tend to find them in independent shops (I got all of mine from The Greenhouse in Warkworth, Northumberland), and they used to be wholesale only, but now you can also buy all their products online via the retail Zelly Boutique site.

This year I bought the Lyla wrap in grey & blue, but it comes in three other colour combos too (love the pale pink!). It’s rectangular so you can easily wear it as a scarf, but it’s big enough to work as a wrap when it gets colder.

They’re made of 80% viscose and 20% cashmere, which means they wear well, but are incredibly soft and cosy – and affordable!

ALL THE HOT CHOCOLATE

Lakeland Hot Chocolate Gift Set

Did I mention I’m not so keen on pumpkin spice lattes? Actually, builders tea is what I drink (gallons of) every day, but can’t resist a decent hot chocolate.

This variety pack is right at the top of my To-Buy list. Good old Lakeland have come up with an amazing range of hot chocolate flavours in this set. Featuring milk, hazelnut, mint, chilli, vanilla, orange, cinnamon, and white chocolate, there’s something for everyone here.
